Joga Bonito Camp Brings Brazilian Soccer Experience to Southern California
The Joga Bonito Camp delivered an unforgettable three-day soccer and futsal experience, welcoming over 100 players from across Southern California for a unique training event rooted in the Brazilian way of play. Held from November 24–26, the camp brought together elite Brazilian coaches and top instructors to showcase how futsal and soccer can work together to elevate player development.
Throughout the camp, athletes immersed themselves in fast-paced futsal sessions designed to sharpen technical ability, quick decision-making, and creativity in tight spaces. Those skills were then translated onto the soccer field, allowing players to apply precision, flair, and confidence in real-game scenarios. The curriculum emphasized the core values of Joga Bonito—freedom of expression, technical mastery, and intelligent movement.
Players trained under the guidance of Nardo Pereira (São Paulo FC), Carlos Pimenta (Manchester City Scout & CEO of Opportunity Brazil), Barata (Santos FC and former coach of Neymar Jr.), and Ian Henrique (Corinthians SC), alongside Guti Oliveira and CJ Gardea of Salsa Futsal. Their combined experience created a high-level environment that blended international methodology with local excellence.
Additional support came from coaches Mimi Rangel (Salsa Futsal) and Cyro Oliveira, Bruno Soares, Carlos Farias, and Sergio Gazola of DC Flash, ensuring every session maintained quality instruction and individual attention despite the camp’s large turnout.
The Joga Bonito Camp stood out not only for its elite coaching staff but for its ability to unite players from different clubs and communities across Southern California under a shared philosophy. By combining futsal and soccer into one cohesive experience, the event left a lasting impact on players, reinforcing how creativity, technique, and passion define the beautiful game.
